The foundation of Konduit is grounded in two layers of sound; a synthesized layer, processed through analog hardware audio processors, and a guitar-based layer, meticulously refined through a modular effects system. Produced in collaboration with Belgian techno producer and live performer Peter Van Hoesen, the resulting soundscapes are a testament to the limitless potential of electronic sound manipulation, drawing inspiration from the very essence of electricity itself.
The charged art of melding sound
The electric guitars and basses weave harmonious layers, offering unison, textural, and harmonic nuances—with most articulations played randomly to make the sound change for every note. Special playing techniques using various implements to excite the strings (picks, mallets, percussion brushes) invite you to explore the depths of sound subtlety. The modwheel acts as a gentle guide through the delicate balance of synth and guitar layers, allowing you to navigate through nuanced sonic landscapes.
