The Nocturne Violin is part of the new Soloists series from Orchestral Tools.
A collection of exquisite recordings from the cream of Berlin players, captured with a solo-style dynamic range and a variety of lyrical expressions. Months of painstaking development and test recordings gave rise to new concepts in legato and articulation sampling which, thanks to CAPSULE, will be intuitive for users.
A combination of new techniques and a unique sampling approach lends this Solo Violin a degree of realism and a variety of expression that have never been heard before.
A single velocity layer for maximum expressiveness.
Instead of recording fixed p, mf and f layers, the musicians were free to follow their instincts in choosing the best dynamic for a solo part.
By using a single velocity layer, we were able to reduce any phasing effect to a minimum, thus preserving the intimate sound of the Nocturne Solo Violin.
