About the collections
TIME macro
TIME macro explores time via 10 mid-sized orchestral ensembles. All perform sustains, advanced articulations, and dynamic gestures so that it’s easy to layer sounds. It also offers 3 full sections for strings, woodwinds, and choir with sustains that correspond to the ensembles to make sure it all fits together perfectly.
TIME micro
TIME micro contains 14 small ensembles and instruments, and 4 combine section patches including an exquisite string quartet, a special low bass section, and a harp-celeste-mandolin patch. Again, the section sustains correspond to the articulations in the rest of the collection.
Unique Chrono Structures
Each TIME collection contains two sets of complex orchestral textures that examine time in a musical context. They’re split into Time Orchestra and Altered Time patches. Time Orchestra offers layered instruments playing sustain with details that respond to the modwheel. Altered Time patches have instrument layers that move forward and back, and which may be slowed down or sped up.
Audio demos
Recorded at Teldex
Both TIME collections were meticulously sampled in the main room at Berlin’s acclaimed Teldex Studio, enabling you to blend these sounds seamlessly with other Orchestral Tools libraries, including the Berlin Series, Metropolis Ark, and more.
We captured these two collections with 4 consistent mic positions: Spot mics for close-up, a Decca tree for the classic Teldex sound, additional A/B mics for definition, and some surround mics for air and space. In some cases, there are other options available for even more control over the sound.
